fashionmaven
I would like to use this template: http://matrixxproductions.com/templates/se...price1=&price2= But, I would like to use the features OSCommerce has in store, such as the on demand rates for UPS, etc..and the payment gateways, can this be done with this template that I like? Thank you so much :D
Wendy James
You could do it yourself without paying money for the template. Never will understand why people pay for that stuff when the people selling them sell them over and over so you are buying something untold number of other people are using as well. fashionmaven
So, I could do the exact same template with the free OSCommerce one? Like colours and layout?
Wendy James
Yup, as long as you are willing to do the work you sure can. You can get osCommerce to look like anything you want it to. Thank you so much :D <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes, absolutely osCommerce can be customized if you are good at designing your own layouts. If you just like this layout though and don't really want to do the work yourself, you can do this, but I also think it would be much better to have a go at it on your own. Look at the catalog/stylesheet.css file and edit some of the colors, fonts, etc. This is a good place to start to customize osCommerce. Next, you can open catalog/includes/languages/(your language)/images/buttons and change the standard osCommerce buttons to something more like the style you want. Just create them in your favorite graphic editor and overwrite the current image files. Even if the sizes are exactly the same, it will be ok. After that, you can go further to customize the columns on each side of the standard osCommerce layout. Hope this gives you some ideas to work with. ♥bruyndoncx
yes, it will work. to buy or build yourself ? buy if your time to get your store up-and -running is valuable, build if you have the skills, and/or time to learn the required skills to modify the look of your store. It is a basic question of what is your (personal) time best spent, plus any others that might be helping you in your business venture. KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON I do not use the responsive bootstrap version since i coded my responsive version earlier, but i have bought every 28d of code package to support burts effort and keep this forum alive (albeit more like on life support). So if you are still here ? What are you waiting for ?!
