Search Engine Friendly???

Hello All:

I'm still researching osC before I commit. I have a few more questions for you.

My present e-commerce site was built by me using the host's web site builder. This site builder was very limiting including certain limitations on search engine optimization. For example, I can only attach metatags to the home page and not various pages in my online catalog. This makes it impossible for an individual, who may do an internet search for a particular item, find my catalog page containing that item.

So... my questions are:

Is an osC e-commerce site search engine friendly?

Is it easily optimized for optimum search rankings?

Can you attach separate metatags for each page so that you can submit various pages of your site that may be specific for a given search?

There are many contributions on osCommerce for SEO, check the contributions page for "meta tags" or SEO.

btw its better to develop the store on your localhost before uploading.

How can I find an individual on this forum who specializes in SEO for osC sites. I would like to pay an experienced optimizer for this ervice.
