Alternative admin area

I was wondering if their were an easy way or a contribution out there that allows you to set up an alternative admin area where only product managment could take place. I need to allow my client to update and add products but dont wish them to be able to access all the other features of the admin area as i feel they could end up destroying the shop.

there a couple of contributions for multi-store admin. I think at least one of them provides something like a master admin. You could upgrade the contribution for what you need although still need to provide restrictions for specific admin areas.

would it be easy or do u think there is one out there that creates a new admin area which just has the ability to add products and edit them. Like a product admin section????

Well, there's this contribution that'll allow you to specify what areas you want certain users to access. As far as I know, you should be able to specify that certain users can just access the product upload area.
