tep_db_query

Recommended Posts

All,

newbie php'er... it appears that the -database fetch command- is a script command called "tep_db_query". does anyone know where "tep_db_query" is defined, so that i can see the lower-level php code that actually does the database call.

i assume that all of the "tep*" commands are script command defined somewhere but i can't seem to find that *somewhere*. help. thanks in advance!!!

regards,

Siddall

For tep* look in the functions folder.

I think tep_db_query is in database.php

Get yourself a program like windows grep. Very useful for finding code. :)

Check out catalog/includes/functions/database.php

I have a vague memory that once upon a time, before it was called osCommerce, it was called The Ecommerce Project, hence TEP

ps. have a look on the web for a registry hack for a handler for the file type .php it allows windows to search in .php text files just like all of the other files types it recognises by default
