Guest
Hi, I have just removed the right column from some of my pages but on my shipping page i'm stumped. Ive got shut of the gif but cant remove the column. I have looked at it for too long now and cant see the wood for the trees. Are the table tags all bungled, they dont look good, code posted below. Many thanks, <?php /* $Id: shipping.php,v 1.22 2003/06/05 23:26:23 hpdl Exp $ osCommerce, Open Source E-Commerce Solutions http://www.oscommerce.com Copyright © 2003 osCommerce Released under the GNU General Public License */ require('includes/application_top.php'); require(DIR_WS_LANGUAGES . $language . Daemonj
For just that page, just change: <!-- right_navigation //--> <?php require(DIR_WS_INCLUDES . 'column_right.php'); ?> <!-- right_navigation_eof //--> to be: <!-- right_navigation //--> <?php // require(DIR_WS_INCLUDES . 'column_right.php'); ?> <!-- right_navigation_eof //--> while for your entire site just comment out the entire includes/column_right.php file. That should do it. ;) "Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocre minds. I want my text to span all the way to the right margin. I managed it with my FAQ page but I cant seem to do it with this one.
Guest
yes you will need to remove the right margin that remains so the catalog root files have these lines you will need to take out: <td width="<?php echo BOX_WIDTH; ?>" valign="top"><table border="0" width="<?php echo BOX_WIDTH; ?>" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="2"> <!-- right_navigation //--> <?php require(DIR_WS_INCLUDES . 'column_right.php'); ?> <!-- right_navigation_eof //--> </table></td>

I edited that line earlier but left in the </table> tag as I hadn't noticed the <table border.......> tag above. And to confuse the issue I had a width=95% which must be something I tinkered with earlier. As I said its all starting to turn into a blur! To further satisfy my concern............. At the top of my file i seem to have a table tag terminating before (or in the wrong order) a row or data tag, is this acceptable/normal, or do i need to do some tidying up? --------------- <table border="0" width="100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="2"> <tr> <td width="<?php echo BOX_WIDTH; ?>" valign="top"><table border="0" width="<?php echo BOX_WIDTH; ?>" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="2"> <!-- left_navigation //--> <?php require(DIR_WS_INCLUDES . Guest
Part of the code you posted if for the left navigation column. <td width="<?php echo BOX_WIDTH; ?>" valign="top"><table border="0" width="<?php echo BOX_WIDTH; ?>" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="2"> <!-- left_navigation //--> <?php require(DIR_WS_INCLUDES . 'column_left.php'); ?> <!-- left_navigation_eof //--> </table></td> The lines above <table><tr> eventually close near the end of each root file. If you see just below the lines of code I posted earlier... </tr> </table> <!-- body_eof //-->
