You could edit the column_right.php file removing all the boxes, otherwise for the file itself is used on all catalog root files where you could also remove it from.

Ok tried but getting a parse error

Parse error: parse error, unexpected '}' in /hsphere/local/home/andrewhe/dianescraftysupplies.co.uk/catalog/includes/column_right.php on line 31

Copied from lines 31 - 47

} else {
 //  include(DIR_WS_BOXES . 'best_sellers.php');
 }

 if (isset($HTTP_GET_VARS['products_id'])) {
//    if (basename($PHP_SELF) != FILENAME_TELL_A_FRIEND) include(DIR_WS_BOXES . 'tell_a_friend.php');
 } else {
//    include(DIR_WS_BOXES . 'specials.php');
 }

//  require(DIR_WS_BOXES . 'reviews.php');

if (substr(basename($PHP_SELF), 0, 8) != 'checkout') {
//    include(DIR_WS_BOXES . 'languages.php');
//    include(DIR_WS_BOXES . 'currencies.php');
 }
?>

Well I have tried it multiple times (was checking for page load times) basically what I do is I comment out the column_right.php code with a /* */

You need to do a couple more mods to reclaim the margin.

the file is in includes\column_right.php Basically after this

Released under the GNU General Public License

*/

You could start commenting out with a /* and then before the last ?> you place */

Then lets say in catalog\about_us.php (or whatever root file you want to test it on) you remove near the end the statement these lines

    <td width="<?php echo BOX_WIDTH; ?>" valign="top"><table border="0" width="<?php echo BOX_WIDTH; ?>" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="2">
<!-- right_navigation //-->
<?php require(DIR_WS_INCLUDES . 'column_right.php'); ?>
<!-- right_navigation_eof //-->
   </table></td>

This will give back the margin to the main page.

Sorted now thanks - though still getting the parse error for some reason.

I think the error is because you havent really comment out the code in column_right.php. Be careful with the // comment does not work very well with quotes the reason I use /**/
