The e-commerce.

severe problem

i'm using a oscommerece version i have modified for a store about 2 months ago.

i cannot figure out where to change this.

i changed all of the infoboxes to IMAGE headers originally (i don't want this anymore. i want to change them back to plain text.)

i changed all infoboxes back to text successfully, except for "Categories". i have searched literally every file and i cannot figure out what i did.

where else should i look?

i know very little of php, so rest assured this was no hefty modification.

this is from languages/english.php:

// categories box text in includes/boxes/categories.php

define('BOX_HEADING_CATEGORIES', '<div class="categories">Product Categories</div>');

shouldn't this be enough?? :blink: it's not. the file has been saved 1 million times, yet the "categories" image i made will not disappear.

i've cleared my cache, rebooted my browser, etc etc.

The following article from the online knowledgebase has step-by-step instructions on how to do the modification you did - changing the box headers from text to images:

Add Images to Box Headers

By reading the instructions given there, you should be able to work out precisely which files need to be changed back, so that you can have text back, instead of images.

If you want to undo *every* modification you made to these files, another option is for you to simply download a brand new version of osCommerce, and replace the altered versions of your files with the 'virgin' ones from the newly downloaded version. This would ensure that you won't have any accidental typos in the files. Remember to BACK EVERYTHING UP before you start replacing files, though.

I hope this helps. :thumbsup:

that's the page i used to add this modification.

it tells me to fix this line:

// categories box text in includes/boxes/categories.php

define('BOX_HEADING_CATEGORIES', '<div class="categories">Product Categories</div>');

:(

i forgot to mention:

this only happens on INDEX.php

when i click on an EMPTY product category, it shows "Product Categories"

when i click on a category with items, it shows the image.

index.php, contact, shipping, etc... all show the image.

Have you tried using simply - as it says in the knowledgebase article:

// categories box text in includes/boxes/categories.php

define('BOX_HEADING_CATEGORIES', 'Categories');

ie, taking the '<div>' markups away?

Maybe the DIV is messing things up. Let us know what happens. :huh:

if i can't get rid of the pic, how do i add text to the header?
