What does the function: "Recreate Session" in the admin tool?

If you enable this - when a customer logs in or creates an account, the information in their current session (cart, etc.) is saved, the session is destroyed, a new session created, and the saved information restored to the new session.

 

This is a good idea as it protects users who have clicked on a link containing a session ID (such as from a search engine if you don't have Prevent Spider Sessions on and are not using a current spiders.txt). Otherwise, their personal information may be exposed to others who come in by clicking on the same link.
