ok i remeved the /catalog/ part of my url so it looks better, i changed the files to reflect the path change and all is good except in the admin section.

when i go to contents to edit a items price or test there is no image, just the blank error box. it seems there still exisits the /catalog/images path somewhere and i need to change it to reflect the changed path

Anyone help?

Mmmmmmm, probably because if you look in admin\inludes\configure.php at line 36 it is as follows

  define('DIR_FS_CATALOG_IMAGES', DIR_FS_CATALOG . 'images/');

Don't change it !, above it at line 23 is

  define('DIR_WS_CATALOG', '/catalog/');
 define('DIR_FS_CATALOG', DIR_FS_DOCUMENT_ROOT . DIR_WS_CATALOG);

You can see 36 uses info defined in 24, which uses 23, so change 23 as below

 define('DIR_WS_CATALOG', '/'); // absolute path required
define('DIR_FS_CATALOG', DIR_FS_DOCUMENT_ROOT . DIR_WS_CATALOG);

This works for me at www.scubanet.net, p.s. not having /catalog/ in the URL improves your SEO as well
