How to add a Discount Code

Hi,

 

I have worked with php before, but I am new to osCommerce and coming in on an existing (working) site.

 

My client wants to add a "coupon code" so that customers who have the code can enter it and get a 10% discount on their total purchase (pre tax & shipping). Is there a module available that does this? I am not sure exactly what I'm looking for.

I have found a few modules that seem to include what I want, but they are also very large and do lots of other things. Can anyone recommend something simple?

 

Also, a lot of the modules seem to have pre-requisites and/or require certain versions of osCommerce to work. How do I tell what version I am working with and what else was installed? My predecessor left without leaving any documentation or instruction.
