I installed oscomerce and found, that oscommerce is optimal for articles who you can press into one or more "normal" kategories. We need the possibility to seach for an article by producer - model - year of manufacture and maybe an product code ... for instance: we sell machines from 2 manufaturers and spare parts from 3 vendors ... this spare parts are able to use in one or more of our machines dependent on the year and the model of the machine ... So we need a search like producer1 - model1 - 1999 ==> list of the various machine types ==> article list by categories like electronics, chassis, tires ... So my question: Is there an existent module for articles like that? If, no is there a better alternative - another php-based online-shop who is better to display technical articles (best are open source solutions)? If, no: What do you think, how complex is it to add ths feature to oscommerce?
