Pull random item from store to display

Is there a contribution set up to pull a random item from the oscommerce catalog and display it on a page outside of the oscommerce progam itelf? I have a site that the store is just one of many features and would like to have a random item come up on our front page when people visit. If there isn't a contribution does anyone know of a program or code I can use to do this? Thanks a million! This board has been my saving grace on more than one occasion and I am eternally grateful for all the hjelp you have given this programming "newbie"
