Is there anyone that can provide details on how to fix this (exact steps). Someone mentioned going to the 'paypal' button, but I don't quite get what they are talking about. We didn't manually create any PayPal buttons for the store - we set up a paypal account, then in OSC went into modules>payments and enabled PayPal. Edited August 24, 2005 by MaFunk Quote

I did a test order, and even when you contine to the store this still happens. Any other ideas on how to fix? OSC clearly knows what is being ordered, and a copy of the order is sent to the client. However the store only gets a paypal receipt and it doesn't show the correct info. Edited August 24, 2005 by MaFunk Quote

MaFunk Posted August 29, 2005 Posted August 29, 2005 Nobody knows how to fix this? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> To those of you who are having this problem, this is how we are getting around it. It's not a fix, but it helps. When you get a new PayPal order note the name. Then go into Orders, click the correct customer name, there you'll see there order with all of the correct info. So in otherwords, the system doesn't work well with PayPal, but if you view OSC orders you can get the info that you need. Quote
myford Posted September 14, 2005 Posted September 14, 2005 This happens to me when a customer orders via PayPal using a credit card, but does not have a PayPal account. As I recall it has something to do with a return url, but I've never figured out how to fix it. It happens to me about once a week, and I just contact the customer to find out what they ordered, a pain, but not a huge pain... Would like to get it fixed as well. ;) Quote
myford Posted September 14, 2005 Posted September 14, 2005 I think I might have found the solution. In your PayPal Profile, under "Website Payment Preferences", turn on "Auto Return for Website Payments" Auto Return for Website Payments brings your buyers back to your website immediately after payment completion. Auto Return applies to PayPal Website Payments, including Buy Now, Donations, Subscriptions, and Shopping Cart. And put in http://www.whateveryoursiteis.com/checkout_success.php as the "return url".
