Hi,

 

I have set up an online shop and am currently using flat rate shipping (?3.95 to UK, ?12 to europe, ?15 to rest of world). However my client now wants to add tickets to a show to the shop, and these will have no shipping cost.

 

So how do I add this to the shop, and make it so that if customers buy only tickets, they will not be charged shipping, and if they tickets and products, they are charged shipping,

Try Set it up as zero shipping weight. no weight so no charge.

I think the flat.php module does not take into account weight. If you added weight for each product then you could modify that file to take weight into consideration. Just add the shipping_weight as global and take it into account for zero or non-zero.

 

If not :lol: it may be more complicated. Still possible like adding extra products fields contribution, setup the tickets with a custom field and modify flat.php and shopping cart to take the extra field for 0 shipping into account.
