Zone Rate Shipping module help

I just wanted to know if there is a way to charge shipping by price instead of weight in the zone rate module...its possible with the table rate is there a mod out there or am I just missing somthing. I'm using OSC CRE Loaded... thanks in advance.

There is this contribution for using zones based on price or weight.

If it will work with CRE loaded I don't know.
