Category Fields and sub-categories

Hi all !

 

Firstable: great contribution ! :D

 

The only problem i have is that Category Fields do no work with subcategories.

 

An example:

 

I have a category "processor" with 2 sub-category: "Pentium 4" and "Athlon 64"

I would like to add an field called "Socket" to the "processor" category that i will be able to use when i add a new product to the "Pentium 4" or the "Athlon 64" sub-category (all the fields are common to the sub-category).

I don't want to add the fields on a sub-category basis.

 

Any way to do that ?

I don't think that is possible. But the best bit is to either do forum searching or find a similar contrib in the contributions section. For better forum searching and for accessing contributions, I have placed links for both in my signature.

Try either doing forum search or find a similar contrib in the contributions section. In my signature, links are there both for 'better forum searching' and for 'accessing contributions'. Good luck.
