classicfins
:'( Hi People. Look, I'm having a problem with the oscommerce program. I am new, and pretty computer stupid so please bear with me. I am trying to load my categories and new products and half the night tonight the system just stalls. I can click to go to edit a product, , open the categories, etc and the broswer icon will just spin and spin and spin. I can close the browser, immediately open it again and it will work for a few clicks (2 or 3 usually, sometimes 5 or 6) and then stall again. Over and over and over. This afternoon it did pretty good and would just do it every now and then. Very seldom. I was using Explorer, but had problems with error messeges so I went to Mozilla Firefox. It worked flawlessly for a while and then started the stalling problem. After going dang near nuts for 2 hours I uninstalled Firefox and install Netscape and the same thing happens. Is this a browser problem, or just a temporary server problem that's just hitting while I'm trying to work? I would appreciate any ideas because I need to get this thing loaded and if it's anything I'm doing wrong maybe I can fix it. Before I go bald! LOL Thanks, Doug
AlanR
It sounds like a server issue and maybe not a temporary one. Did you sign up with Cheep-Hosting-4-U? Did you sign up with Cheep-Hosting-4-U? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> This is the temporary cart set up on my website designer company's test server. I am supposed to have all my product info loaded in before the site goes live and I'm not having much luck. LOL Of course this type of thing always happens on the weekend when I can't reach them on the phone. Hopefully it will straighten by morning.
