I've installed the wishlist contribution and everything seems OK, however when I've created a wishlist whilst logged in and sent it, when someone buys something from the list it isn't removed from my wishlist. Can anyone help find the bug? Like I say, everything seems to work but this.

I'm getting the following error when I try to add something to the wishlist:

Fatal error: Call to a member function add_wishlist() on a non-object in /path/wishlist.php on line 19

 

Line 19 is this:

$wishList->add_wishlist($wishlist_id, $attributes_id);

 

I've tried the navigation_history fix, and other fixes on this thread. I need to get it fixed ASAP. Any ideas?

I had this problem too, but my line was:

 

$wishlist->add_wishlist($wishlist_id, $attributes_id);

 

which I changed to your:

 

$wishList->add_wishlist($wishlist_id, $attributes_id);

 

Maybe you can inverse that.

i am new to oscommerce but is getting right with it. I can fix things if i know where the problem is. Here are my problem when trying to install wish list v5

First I would like to say that there is awesome knowledge gained at this site and I am very impressed with the level of support available on this site.

About 2 months ago I had a great idea to start up a website and I knew nothing about where to start, thanks to all of your articles I now have a website that I can be proud of......except 1 issue that I cannot find a fix for....

 

I have installed the Wishlist 5_1 (http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/1682) and it functions perfectly, except the very first time you go to my site the following error is shown on the right hand side above my shopping cart.

Notice: Undefined property: wishlist::$wishID in /home/crocket/public_html/catalog/includes/classes/wishlist.php on line 144

 

If you refresh the page the error goes away and the website including the wishlist functions perfectly, the error does not return again until you close down your browser and start a new session.

 

the code around line 144 on the "catalog/includes/classes/wishlist.php" is as follows

Hello, Since this error was simply a notice and did not imact the functionality of the website I simply suppressed the error notice from displaying with the following code.

 // set the level of error reporting
ini_set('error_reporting', E_ALL ^ E_NOTICE);

 

Since my error was happening on the right side of the screen I placed this code at the top of the column_right.php file - mine is row 12 & 13

 

I hope this helps other.

Hey guys.. I have a question about this addon.

 

How does it work if the attributes are the actual products and not the products? If you go to this website:

http://bscphoto.com/catalog

and have a look at any one item, you will see that you dont buy the item but the attributes...

 

I want to add the wishlist addon to this website not as a wishlist, but as a way for clients to choose their favorite pictures to be added to their wedding books. We design 40-60 page wedding books, each has about 4 pictures perpage.. So we want the brides to have their absolute favorite pics in there. I figure the "add to favorites" type of thing (similar to a wish list) would be perfect.. my only question is how it works with the way I have everything laid out now.

 

For the wishlist, i dont NEED them to choose an attribute - i just want to know which picture that they like, not what size. So I would be happy if it just ignored the setup for purchasing.

 

Anything thoughts or ideas on this? I plan on working on the install over the next few weeks or so.

Hello all,

 

Has anyone gotten this to really work on RC2.2a, php5, mysql 5 with register globals off as encouraged for security reasons? Even on a vanilla install I get nothing but errors, especially all the non-object errors (in right column, login, logoff) as well as the items that are added automatically to the cart instead of the wishlist in spite of the detailed warning by Fimble respectuously followed to the letter. I'd love a little help, having noticed already a few php 5 errors like &language_id not being (int)&language_id. Any help would be appreciated.

found the fix. i have the breadcrumb navigation on each page and not in the header due to some design tweaks. when i remove the breadcrumb from the login, logoff, shopping cart process, and so on the errors disappear.

i have tried and tried to install a wish list on my oscommerce site...via the support thread - http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,1682

the initial upload wishlist 2.0 worked (wishlist box showed on right column) apart from the fact i couldnt add anything to wishlist...each update since havent worked now i know im installing the scripts right, so just wondered has anyone got an addon wishlist zip file that will defo work with osCommerce Online Merchant v2.2 RC2a.

Hi everyone,

 

The wishlist works fine for me, but i saw tonight that i have a little problem.

 

When the items on your wishlist are not available anymore, the customer can't delete them or they are not deleted by putting the item offline by the shop owner.

 

The checkbox is not available to remove items from the list when sold out by the customer.

 

Is this only by me? i can;t find in the forum simular problems with the wishlist.

 

If someone has solved this i love to hear it.

But when a customer receives the Whislist link , it appears as text link. Not html link.

 

¿how it should modify to appears as the "View detail order" link of the orders??

I've installed the Wishlist 5.1 contrib again to my site and am still having the same old problem of the Add To Wishlist button adding an item to the Shopping Cart instead of the WishList.

OK ... I've narrowed the problem down to the Add to Wishlist button. I've reworked the original code that is to be added to catalog/product_info.php Here's the original code :

I've rewritten it to this :

I see you used tep_href_link to add the link to wishlist but don't think it'd pass all the parameters to the wishlist and that's why you are not seeing anything being added.

Karen, I had the same issue but I've found a solution and it might help you.

 

If you have mod your osc with CSS Buttons then you need to do the followings:

 

Open html_output.php under includes/functions folder:

add the following code before the end of the document ?>

For each tep_image_submit you use for wishlist, you need to change it to tep_image_submit_ori.

 

for instance on your code:

change it to:

Hi,

 

We still have a problem with implementing the wishlist to our shop.

We also use CSS Buttons and when we disable this, everything works just fine.

However, when we use the CSS buttons contri, the customer is no longer able to add a product to the wishlist, instead it is added to the shopping cart.

 

Does anybody have a solution?

I just loaded wishlist for maybe the third time, same one,

 

For what ever reason, this time I installed it, the list where you place your, and your friends email is not showing on the wishlist page. I get the instructions, and a message box but no email.

 

in the admin section, all I am asked in the wishlist configuration is how many products per page(max wish list ).

 

I am missing the following out of the admin section.

 

Max Wish list Box

Display emails

and the wishlist redirct

 

Any Ideas as to what the heck went wrong?

I want to reduce focus on "add to wishlist" compared to "add to cart" and therefor change the wishlist button to a link, which is quite common on major sites.
