anthony561fl
I had setup oscommerce on an old site and am just getting back around to getting to working on it. I tried what I thought was login and pasword, but its not accepting it. I can connect to site through ftp, so my question is, is there a place within site files that keeps login and password stored that I can connect to and double check? I downloaded conguration.php but didnt see anything listed in there. thank you for any help or direction.
Guest
Its in your database, use PhpMyAdmin to get the email address you signed up with and do a password lost. this is for the cart itself... not an admin Mod
Guest
it all depends upon what you used to password protect your admin area. by default osCommerce does not have password protection, thus you need to do this on your own and htaccess usually works the best

I dont think I did anything to password protect the admin area, except whatever defaults there were when I set ip up. It was a month or so ago and I cant find any record of login or password. How would I protect this area? Is that my chmodding the folder to 644? And what exactly is htaccess and how would it be used?
