Order number back from PayPal

I'm allowing customers to view their invoice on checkout success. This works fine with all payment modules, except PayPal IPN, where the Order Number does not come back.

 

Is it possible to pass a variable to PayPal, and simply have it come back so I can use it ?

this is an old one... but I was wondering about this as well. Is there anyway to have customer view there invoice on the checkout_success page using the related contribution (invoice on checkout_success page).

Unfortunaty a far as i know there isno way to pass info though Paypal, becaue it's a compelely different wesite and they have security aspects etc.

 

Maybe youcould have it display or email the order number before going to paypal? Alternativley open paypal in a new window, then have it close once completed taking you to the confirmation page?
