But I am not sure whether it would be easy to resized the movie according to the website's width etc. People do have made flash-based headers. In order to add your powerpoint file to header.php file replace oscommerce.gif with your_powerpoint_presentation.ppt file (.ppt is it the extentio of powerpoint right? ) The powerpoint file should be placed in your_root_images/ folder. Do not forget to make a backup of any file(s) you are ever going to modify I guess you should better make a movie in flash instead of trying power point.
