create_account.php text wording help

Hi - I have added wording to the create_account.php page so the email when a customer creates a new account is specific to our store. However, I can not get the paragraphs to look right. It looks like one big blob. Can someone take a look and tell me what looks wrong?

Just wondering if you figured this out yet? I have the same problem - I can't figure out how to add spaces between the lines.

 

Can you tell me how you fixed your problem so that your Welcome Letter will have a better appearance?

Not sure why you are using <p></p> - I've never seen that used before.

 

At the end of each line/paragraph just do <p> instead of <br>

 

<br>just breaks the line into two lines.

 

Whereas, <p> puts an actual break between the lines, like between this one and the one above.

<p> and </p> are the correct mark-up for HTML, nothing wrong with that. In HTML the end tag is optional, but for XHTML it is necessary.

 

However - <br> does not use closing tags. If you want to use XHTML then you make it self-closing <br />, otherwise just use <br>.

NB: note the "end tag: Forbidden" status for BRs. This means either using <br> or <br /> but never "<br></br>".

 

Also - <br> creates one line break, so to get spacing between paragraphs you'll need two <br><br>.
