still having problems with uploading images

hi i have got lots of help, thanx to all u wounderful ppl.

but i still am getting the error that i can't load up my pics to my site

Error: Catalog images directory is not writeable: /home/blackorc/public_html/catalog/images/

i tried to change the permissions but it did nothing.

should i know contact my host or someone at OScomerce?

Contact your host and see if they even allow file uploading. If the actual permissions seem to be set correctly, then this is an indication that they have something like safe_mode on, which can be a bear to work around.
