melvins138
I recently moved an OSC site from one server to another. Everything works except confirmation emails (when someone registers or when orders are placed or e-mail sent from Tools >> Send E-Mail). I have checked all the E-Mail Options under configuration, and everything seems to be in order: E-Mail Transport Method: sendmail E-Mail Linefeeds: LF Use MIME HTML When Sending Emails: false Verify E-Mail Addresses Through DNS: False Send E-Mails: true I have restarted Sendmail, and still nothing. I have changed the Transport Method to SMTP and hothing. No e-mail is being sent, even though I am not getting an error. My hosting company is no help because OSC is considered third party software. I am running Apache/2.0.50 (FreeBSD) mod_ssl/2.0.50 OpenSSL/0.9.7d PHP/4.3.10. Could someone please point me in the right direction. Or give me the right questions to ask my hosting company. This is the last feature I need to get working to get my site online. Thanks, Melvins138 :(
♥Vger
In your osC admin panel under Configuration --> My Store do you have an e-mail address entered for 'Send Extra Order E-mails To'? If you have and it's in this format Sales<[email protected]> then change it to just [email protected]. Vger

I do get the "Success Notice: Email sent to: *****@mydomain.com" message at the top of the screen when I do a Send Email from Tools under Admin. I can't tell if the settings in OSC are off or the setting on my server. Any suggestions? Melvins138
♥Vger
Make sure that the e-mail addresses you are using are ones based on your domain e.g. [email protected], and not a junkmail address like [email protected] Vger

Still nothing. I do appreciate your help, though. This is really frustrating. I have OSC on my local box (Dual 1.8GHz G5 running OSX 10.4), and have no problems with this feature. But the Virtual Private Server that I use does not work. This is a vhost on a shared server. I'm beginning to believe that this is an issue with my host company, but am unable to think of the correct questions to ask (i.e. how do i get Sendmail to work with PHP? or whatever). I'm still a newbie to all of this webserver stuff. What are some questions I can ask my provider to get to the bottom of this issue? Any help would be nice. melvins138
Okay, Problem solved. It was a strange e-mail issue with my server. I called them up and got everything straightened out. Hooray! Melvins138
