MyAccount changes

Hi, I am looking at using oscommerce for my new ebusiness. I need to know if it is possible to add another menu page in the "my account" area. For example, my clients need to have an area where they can enter information about a third party (incl. name, address, date, and other info) - up to five of them- that they can edit at any time. I also need to be able to access this as the administrator. Any info about doing this would be greatly appreciated. Janelle.

Customers can already add as many additional shipping addresses as you allow them to have. There is a setting in your admin configuration area to set that limit.

To access your customers "accounts" you can install the master password contribution.

Thanks Wendy. I understand that customers can set additional shipping addresses, but is it possible to have other fields added such as a date, another name and maybe 4 other fields where text would be added up to 100 characters long?

I don't think I have seen that done or come across a contribution that did that, although I never looked specifically for it.

If they can have additional shipping addresses, then it stands to reason that you could use that same logic for what you need. Could just call it something else maybe?

Not sure if this makes sense but I think it would work.

Find the correct database tables for the addresses, duplicate them but change the name to something else then duplicate the additional addresses book page and then just change the information in the code to reflect the new database tables.

It's late and I am a bit sleepy but it sounds like it would work to me. lol
