masster Posted August 17, 2005 Posted August 17, 2005 Hi, This is a new question, because searching for "dealer" or "vendor" didn't get me closer to success. Here's what I have in mind: - dealers have to register on a special form (analog to clients one but a little more business-specific). I'm thinking here if it would be nice to use the 'customers' table and just add a new field called 'dealer' (0=regular client, 1=dealer) - after filling the form, the owner of the shop receives an e-mail, then he approves or rejects DIRECTLY from e-mail the wannabe dealer. Do I need here a new field called 'Dealer Status'? Standby/Approved ? - if rejected, a standard e-mail is dispatched "We're sorry, but bla-bla..." and his record in 'customers' table is deleted; - if approved, a standard e-mail "Welcome to our team bla-bla.." is sent and 'Dealer Status' field is switched to 1. - it would be nice to have the posibility of sending all dealers to their special secured page after login and also to send them bulk mail/newsletter. So my question is: do I have to start from scratch a NEW contribution, or are there some code snippets I could use? Thanks for reading. Awaiting reactions.
