discount for bulk quantities from a category

The owner of the store that is having me set up his new online shop asked me if it would be possible to offer reduced pricing per item if more than a specific number are ordered. Are there any modules written that allow for a different price if say three items are ordered from a category?

There are several contributions that handle this. Just do a search in the contributions area (link in my signature) for bulk or discount or bulk discount, quantity breaks, quantity discounts... I think you get the point. :)

I did that and found some modules, but none will accomplish what I am trying to do. Say I sell three items from Category A and one item from Category B, I want Category A to be sold at reduced price and Category B to be sold at regular price. Closest one I found was a module which applies a bulk discount to the entire order if X items are in the cart upon checkout.
