Need help setting up/fixing SSL

Remember

Recommended Posts

I use bluehost and they provide a shared SSL certificate.

the path to that shared ssl should be

https://secure.bluehost.com/~myunixusername/

when I am in OScommerce and trying to create a new account it isn't working...a helpful mmber pointed out that my shared ssl was showing as

https://rememberthemoments.com/~myunixusername/

any idea where or how to fix this?

In catalog/incudes/configure.php

Set this line:

define('HTTPS_SERVER', ''); // eg, https://localhost - should not be empty for productive servers

Like so:

define('HTTPS_SERVER', 'https://secure.bluehost.com/~remembe3');

Local: Mac OS X 10.5.8 - Apache 2.2/php 5.3.0/MySQL 5.4.10 • Web Servers: Linux

Tools: BBEdit, Coda, Versions (Subversion), Sequel Pro (db management)

First, Thank you for your advice!!

I tried that yesterday...and it didn't work (might have made a mistake...which is highly possible)

I am more than willing to try it again, but when I set the configure.php to 777 so that I can edit it, I cannot get it too go back...I have tried EVERY code I can find and it gives me an error message that says my configure.php is not secure...

any advice on what code to use when I am DONE editing the configure.php

Thanks!!

AlanR! Thank you for all of your help!! I got it fixed...I ended up deleting everything and reinstalling it with the correct info...it was something I had entered wrong on the initial setup!

Thank you again! :D
