Monique Posted August 15, 2005 Posted August 15, 2005 When I make a test to buy a product, everything is ok until the page of PayPal appears. The client (me for this "sale") has the possibility to write the amount of my choice for the buying product ! It's not good for me ! ;) What I have to do to correct this ? Thanks Monique

Thanks Monique <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I have exactly the same problem. I've been searching the forum for weeks now. I even installed the PayPal IPN contribution and still have the same problem. I posted this question myself but never got a single reply. I'm sure some nice person must remember having this problem too and know the answer!!
♥Vger Posted August 16, 2005 Posted August 16, 2005 The osCommerce Pay Pal IPN (the one supported by Team Members) when used with the encryption ability in the module prevents the customer from editing the amount. Vger
altDev Posted August 16, 2005 Posted August 16, 2005 Even with Paypal IPN (of which I use and is great), if the customer changes the amount, less I would guess, it would just take longer for the product to ship and more hassle for the customer. I would think that a customer would just leave it alone beings that you wont ship the product until the full amount due has been paid.. James Scheller
♥Vger Posted August 16, 2005 Posted August 16, 2005 Some scam artists hope that if the company is large enough (or if it's just overlooked) they'll get shipped the goods before anyone notices that they didn't pay the full amount. I had it happen once, and the scam artist got refunded all of their 50 pence (to avoid any chargeback scenarios). Vger
