Currently, SPPC requires that an administrator change a customer's group id (i.e. from retail to wholesale). This is perfect (since I don't want everyone to see the wholesale pricing).

However, it does not appear that an e-mail is automcatically generated when a customer is assigned to a new group. In my store I have two groups: retail and wholesale. I would like to send all customers approved for wholesale accounts a generic formail informing them of their change in status and extended features included in wholesale account (ie pricing, COD shipping option, etc).

It is important for an e-mail to be sent, since it may take a few days to approve their new status.

I have searched for the last few days without result.

Any ideas?

That was discussed some time ago in the SPPC thread. For example look at this this post and trace it back for the code used.
