How to add zone2 for shipping

VPSsupport

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I am new to using oscommerce, would anybody be able to point me in the right direction of enabling more zones when shipping. We have setup a table for shipping in the UK but would like to apply a similar table for EU and another for the rest of the world etc. We have structured our table so that we have shipping bands depending on amount spent.

Any help would be great, thanks

Clive

Clive

Hi,

I've got the same question: I've added shipping costs for Holland, but want different for the rest of the world. Does anybody know how to insert another similar shipping costs table but with different costs for all the other countries?

I see a lot of discussion on using the shipping zones module but this module calculates shipping based on weight. I am suprised the same can't be done for shipping based on price. Any ideas?

Thanks

I found something: I've copied table.php from catalog/modules/shipping to a new file I've called table_zone2.php. I've renamed every php-code to MODULE_SHIPPING_TABLE_ZONE2_... and inserted it in admin. This seems to work.

But when a customer wants to buy a product, checkout_shipping isn't showing the shipping costs anymore. It seems like both files are still most like the same so nothing is displaying on the webshop. I'm still working on it and if I have found the sollution for it, I'll place it on this forum thread.
