Easy populate problems

Hi,

After a hard day I have finally installed Easypopulate, got all the directories right for downloading and uploading but I am having the following problem.

 

If I download a file (tab delimited) and look at it using OpenOffice all appears OK.

Then if I upload it, whether I change anything or not, I end up with 2 new product categories, 'active' and '--none--' with products seeming to be added in there.

 

What is the most likely cause of this, I have read some instructions and am none the wiser.

 

Any help would be appreciated so I can call it a day.
