muuseec
I am setting up a shop with clothes. Is there a way to change image when I change color attribute? For instance: I have a t-shirt that comes in different colors. When the buyer selects "red", then it would be great to have the product image change to a red t-shirt instead of my standard white. Is it possible? Is there even a contribution somewhere already with this function? Would very much appreciate suggestions! Information overload! Iggy
It's been discussed but I haven't seen anything in contribs. Maybe someone can correct me if I'm wrong? It really should be doable but I haven't looked into actually doing it yet :-" One way or the other it won't be easy and will require some cleverness to tie it off to the attributes dropdown with some db entry for images in the attributes I would think. Not a trivial task. Iggy Everything's funny but nothing's a joke...

Not a trivial task. Iggy <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hehe, well if YOU think it?s tricky, I will definately put that idea away for now. Better to set the t-shirts with different colors as different products. Another question though: If I use an attribute like "Size", is it possible to keep track of how many products with that particular attribute are "on the shelf"? I mean: If you wanna buy a red t-shirt size S, you have to know how many size S there are. Not just that there are (for instance) 10 red t-shirts on the shelf. They might all be size XL...? Iggy
Well, wait for the really smart guys to weigh in on what would REALLY be involved in getting a contribution like that rolling  QTpro would get you as far as tracking attribute stock though. Iggy <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thanks! Looks like it?s just the thing I need! Guess I?ll just supply a picture with the T-shirt in all available colors - problem solved! If any smart person adds a "picture changing with attribute"-feature later, then I?ll be the first to use it (funny there isn?t one?) but this will work fine! Thanks again! Information overload!
