By default, the catalog side (public) sorts alphabetically by the product name. I think this is what you are asking, but post back if that doesn't clarify for you. Please note - if I have suggested a contrib above, it doesnt mean it will work! Most of the contribs are not ones I've used, but may be useful for your particular problem.... Have you tried a refined search? Exp. if on the 7th I added 20 products they woud be in alphabetical then on the 10th I entered 50 products it would add theem to the end of the online catalog rather than alphabetizing them.
