Rebelminis
Hi Guys, I woke up this morning with this on the top of my site in Pink: Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file: /home/rebel/public_html/store/includes/configure.php. This is a potential security risk - please set the right user permissions on this file. Why all of a sudden after 5 months did this show up? How can I fix it? Thanks for any help! mark27uk3
Using your ftp client select your configure.php file and then right click and select CHMOD, then change the permissions to 644 which will allow you the owner to read and write to the file and everyone else to just read it. 241
tick all the boxes under read and clear all the boxes under write and execute this will give you CHMOD 444 if your host does not allow you to set as low as 444 then set CHMOD 644 which is tick all the boxes for read and tick the box for write under user only clear the boxes under group and world for write and clear the boxes under user group and world for execute.
