Information shopping cart only! no products per se

NOT A TRADITIONAL SHOPPING CART

 

I have a machinery site I am doing. I would like to have a box where they check, 'add to machines of interest' and then it goes into a cart. From the cart, it goes to a form where thier information is filled out , no credit cards, no amount purchased, no taxes, etc, only part number and description and then it is sent to the store owner. Anyone have an idea how this is done, any tutorial, demo's or help you can offer is great. I have a few sites like this and would consider switching over servers if I could figure this one out. There is no money exchanged only information on the machines listed in the site.
