Strange behaviour - prices with and without tax

Hello,

recently I looked again into my shop, which is a version from January 2003, and detected that the prices in the featured products at the startpage are EXCLUSIVE tax. They were all the time INCLUDED tax. Precautiously I checked the application_top.php if "'DISPLAY_PRICE_WITH_TAX', true" is still there. It is. When I choose a product from the categories or featured products and put it into the cart it is exclusive tax. But when I come to confirm order it is included tax. So finally the customer would get the price included tax. But, as I said, at the beginning the prices should be shown included tax. I have written this also at the bottom of the startpage. So the customer finally thinks he was cheated and probably leaves the shop.

But now the strange thing happens: When I dont confirm order and click in the categories the products appear INCLUDED tax.

I have to say that my admin recently installed suphp. At first we got the error message "Inable to determine the page link". Then, after searching the forum, I changed searchengine friendly urls to false and set cache to false and the error message disappeared. Can it be that all the avove is related to suphp? Or is there something else wrong? What?

Would be nice if someone could help.

Thanks in advance.

Forgot to mention that when I add in "Tax Zones" "All Countries" and enter afterwards the shop then the prices are inclusive tax. (This would not be a solution because in my case only European Union customers pay tax). But when I then come with one product to the checkout page, some amount, not exactly the tax amount is added to the price. Its very strange because at the startpage the customer country is unknown, so the price shouldnt be dependend on the tax table.

Very, very strange.
