rezdwan
Hello everyone! First of all, this a live store so I will appreciate it if you don't make a test order. Thanks. Secondly, this is my second attempt at customizing osCommerce as the first one wasn't good enough. Thirdly, please do tell me of any suggestions that you have or errors that you may find at my live store. Lastly, please tell me what do you think of my product range and how I can market it better and etc. Thank you osCommerce and everyone that had contributed to it's success. ♥14steve14
Dump the intro page, or put more info there. Site is very slow to load, and others may get tired waiting. I usually spend ages looking at sites, but for some reason yours i didnt. Maybe its just a bit plain and boring looking. I dont know. rezdwan
Nice work, I think it works good for the product your selling. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thank you. It is nice to hear that. very slow and i didnt like the intro, i found the layout a bit boring and you will need the thumbnail cont.. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hmmm... Could you tell me what about the intro that you didn't like? The colour, the text or etc? I must admit that the intro was hastily done and may not be the best. I have installed a thumbnail contribution called "'On the Fly' Auto Thumbnailer using GD Library". It seems to be working well. Do you know if there's something that I might have missed that contributed to the slow loading? Sorry one more thing, i really didnt have a clue what you was selling or what i should do or click on when i went too your intro.. I not trying to be mean, im just trying to let you know what real customers will see and feel.. Good luck m8 <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I have the product categories near the top of the header and a categories box to the left. Please let me know if more could be done to help you navigate better. Your suggestions are most welcomed. I really wanted to add all the product that is in the top categories as a box to the main page. Something like the "What's New For ..." box only this time it will break up into the different top level categories and randomly select up to three different products in that category. If anyone knows how this can be done or know of a similar contribution, please tell me. Thanks

I wonder what is causing it? My apologies as this problem is not apparent to me. Any ideas as to why this is happening?
rommany
by say i didnt have a clue what you was selling, i was talking about you intro it didnt tell me anything, where to click to enter your site or what im entering you site to see. If you have a look here at most people say lose the intro as it puts most customers off even before they enter the site. I did see that you have loaded a thumb cont but its still so slow, too well over 30 secs to load, but not sure what you can add to make it quicker, sure someone will point you in the right direction. The site it self looks a bit boring to me, needs a little color i think.. Anyway its a great start just a little work needed.. Kind regards

rezdwan
I couldn't put my finger on it. What is causing the slow loading of my site as mentioned above? Can someone help me, please?
COOLumbia
I thought it looked very good. The intro page was a little slow to load, but I clicked on the "Enter" text and didn't wait for the whole page to load. I clicked on "US Dollars" in the upper left, but the page still said "free shipping on orders of $300GSD" (Singapore dollars). Can you make the "free shipping" text match the currency selected? Nice job.
COOLumbia
Also, the drop-down menu for "About Us" shows only two items, the second of which is cut off by the "Shop by Category" selection item. Are there any more drop down items in this menu? It's hard to tell because the second item is already cut off, so the user doesn't know if there are a third or fourth item behind the "Shop by Category" item. Nice job. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hello and thank you for reviewing my site. It is nice to hear that you find the site okay. About the free shipping text, it is just a hardcoded text in TEXT_MAIN. Maybe I should add something that says "$300SGD or equivalent"? What do you think? Also, the drop-down menu for "About Us" shows only two items, the second of which is cut off by the "Shop by Category" selection item. Are there any more drop down items in this menu? We had the opportunity to test it using Firefox in Linux, Mozilla and IE in Windows. Only IE seems to show this problem. Maybe I am not good at the coding, so if someone could please point me in the right direction, I would really appreciate it.

I think you only meant that the page at http://www.pccartel.com/index.html is slow and not the shop area where the thumbnail contribution is installed, right? Your feedback is very much appreciated.
