Heya,

I'm a bit unsure about the shipping modules out there - there's soooo many of them!

Hopefully this will be so straightforward to do ;)

In my catalog there will be two types of product - 'big things' and 'little things'

I've gone through an excel copy of the cat and added a '1' next to the little things, and a '2' next to the big things.

I want all '1' things to be charged at ?2.95 for standard post, and all '2' things to be charged at ?7.95 for UPS.

If someone buys a '1' and a '2' together, they'd be included in the same UPS parcel.

Is this as straightforward to do as I'm hoping? If yes, what contrib do I need?

Thanks,

Dan :)

Can anyone point me in the right direction here? or is this one of those "damn noob, that's too obvious" questions? :P

Would we be talking a table rate?

Thanks,

Dan :)

Heya - have I missed something really obvious here, in that this system would never work?

This is my virgin install so I've made some seriously stupid mistakes so far

Any and all thoughts appreciated ;)

Right - I've discussed this further with the client (always useful) and they've decided that:

Regardless of how many items are bought at either price, they'll only be charged the single item rate.

If they buy both small and large items, then the large rate will apply to the full order.

Sooo..

Am I correct in thinking that if I set the 'weight' of the small products to 1, and the large to say, 50.

Then set up table rate, with weights 1-49 at ?2.95, and the >50 rate to ?8.95 I should be set?

We don't anticipate any orders of over 50 'small' items at any one time, but if that occurs we could increase the numbers accordingly.

Can anyone see a problem with this idea?

Thanks,

Dan
