Installation help needed

Hi. I am trying to install OsCommerce for the first time.

 

I have a Windows 2000 box running IIS 5.0

 

I have PHP installed and running fine.

 

I have MySql installed. I created a new user named fred and a new DB named fred2. I gave the new user full rights to the fred2 DB. I can connect to the DB fine using the MySql Query Browser.

 

I copies the OsCommerce files to the wwwroot folder and then in my browser went to: http://glenn/install/install.php.

 

That brought up the first install page fine. I left both boxes checked and pressed the Continue button. That brought up the install - step=2 page. I entered:

 

Database Server: localhost

Database username: fred (also tried fred@localhost and fred@localhost:3306)

Database password: the password

Database Name: fred2

 

When I press continue I get the same page re-drawn with just the first two lines:

 

New Installation

 

Database Import

 

 

Can anyone give me a clue as to what I might need to do to make some progress with the installation?
