But a new client has asked for a few special things and was wondering how easy it would be to modify. Firstly my client already has a login system for his website with about 600 users for accessing pricelists and things like that. He now wants to incorperate a shop for these resellers, with the ability to shop online. Obviously we don't want to be giving out 2 username and passwords for the 2 aspects of the site. Is it possible to strip the login/authentication section of osCommerce? I don't know how heavily it is tied into the whole process or would the alternative be, dump the existing authentication and use osCommerce's scripts (not a particularly attractive option I must say). Users will only be able to view the shop when logged in so that would be a slight problem for showing the shop first. Anyone else done this before?
