Help on "New Products Listing"

I entered all the SPECIAL prices, and although it shows that each item is on special prices now, the NEW PRODUCTS listing doesn't show current special price. Can someone please help me on this?

Showing on actual products but then there is this NEW PRODUCTS category with the same items that wont reflect the current special price.

 

I dont know how I can disable the New Products Listing, since it is not a category i added in myself.
