Guest Posted August 11, 2005 Posted August 11, 2005 I just received an email from a customer who has been trying to place an order with us. His issue is as follows: I just wanted you to know that your site is having MAJOR PROBLEMS!!! I first opened an account and it said I had $7,000 worth of items in my shopping cart. Which took a long time to remove manually. Also, as I was trying to pay for my order, items kept being added to it! Also, I clicked on the delievery charge of $4.00 as it selected for me based on my $18.00 order, and then it jumped it up to $38 as I went to comfirm. Then as I went to look back at the delievery screen more items were again added to my cart.. I think guests that go to the site and add itmes to a cart cause items to be addded to your cart. You need to get that fixed because you just lost a value customer. We have testd the cart 10 times since then, using all manner of attempted checkout situations--including ones that imitated his--and have not seen a similar glitch. Has anyone seen this glitch? What could possibly have caused it? We can't seem to duplicate the glitch--and we've never had any other customers complain about this sort of thing. When I look at "who's online," I see him in there, logged on--with a $600+ cart of all kinds of things. Very strange! Anyone have any ideas?

Anyone have any ideas? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Could be that search engine sriders are indexing your add to shopping_cart.php adding prooducts to the shopping cart while your customer is logged in. Add this to your robots text file if you have one. ( WARNING ) I think I know what Im talking about. BACK UP BACK UP BACK UP BACK UP

How does one go about making one? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You can Download the contribution and set it up to suit your self heres the contribution and add what you want such as login.php admin create_account ect and anything you dont want spiders indexing such as your shopping cart ( WARNING ) I think I know what Im talking about.
