category and subcategory changes

Hello,

 

The default site currently displays the categories and the subcategories right beneath it. The only difference is a few spaces which makes it look seperated. How can I add an image, such as an arrow, to the category and for instance, an image of a star for the subcategories?

 

I was looking through the boxes.php and the categories.php but could not find how I can add this. I see many templates that have this done but just can't find where/what I need to change.

 

ANy help would be appreciated!

I assume you mean the catgeories tree on the left column - search contribs for categories or menu and there are loads of things that people have done with this. If you wnat to play around yourself, the file is at catalog/includes/boxes/categories.php

 

If that isnt what you mean, could you clarify?

Thanks for the advice. I am using the Japanese version and noticed that alot of the code is different compared to the US version. I did go look into the contribs listed here and found a simple one that I was able to add some code to my version and it worked! :D
