hello_world Posted August 10, 2005 Posted August 10, 2005 Someone installed OSCommerce for me on an old host and all was working fine, I did all the configs of adding boxes and products etc and I was very pleased but since I moved the site to a new host it won't run. I get the error of "Warning: mysql_connect(): Access denied for user: 'mrchips_admin@localhost' (Using password: YES) in /home/jshcbvqj/public_html/catalog/includes/functions/database.php on line 19 Unable to connect to database server!" I believe it is because my SQL server is now a different name, as is the user. I know the server name and user name I just don't know what file to edit them into, anyone care to offered afew words of advice................
niknakgroup Posted August 10, 2005 Posted August 10, 2005 Your title gave away the answer - go to catalog/includes/configure.php - the last section of code is where your db connection is set up! When it works, make sure you also amend the admin/includes/configure.php file too. Please note - if I have suggested a contrib above, it doesnt mean it will work! Most of the contribs are not ones I've used, but may be useful for your particular problem.... Have you tried a refined search? christiansees Posted August 10, 2005 Posted August 10, 2005 I think that you need to post more specific information about how you transferred your data base. Did you set the password and login to be exactly the same on the new host as the old host? On your last day only you will have to approve or disaprove of how your life has been.
