dvansh Posted August 10, 2005 Posted August 10, 2005 I have multiple clients that would like to setup individual stores for their individual clients. so the structure is like: Client A/subClient_a/store The stores must be password protected, so a login is required to access the store. Is any of this possible with OS Commerce without being a programmer? Thanks dvansh
gscreations Posted August 10, 2005 Posted August 10, 2005 there is a contribution that allows for multiple stores i've seen a few solutions around that will do this also but without programming skills you will find it gets difficult
dvansh Posted August 10, 2005 Author Posted August 10, 2005 the solutions are they products or can they be found in the contributions section? there is a contribution that allows for multiple storesi've seen a few solutions around that will do this also but without programming skills you will find it gets difficult <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
dvansh Posted August 10, 2005 Author Posted August 10, 2005 i looked through the contributions and saw that the multi sites systems are constructed to have one admin console and mulitiple minisites, I actually was looking to see if you can have multiple sites at different dir structures for example: www.example.com/storeA www.example1.com/storeA and so on. If I can setup different DB's for each instance, then the system will work? I do know of one more solution that is like a virtual mall each shop has their own admin, all shops listed under one store, its very complicated and without programming knowledge you will struggle. I can send you the link if you like, cant post here as its against the rules to show competitor sites, even though the solution is based on osc.
dvansh Posted August 12, 2005 Author Posted August 12, 2005 Thanks for the info. I think your suggestion of just running separate DB's is the best way to . Now to start tweaking the look and feel for my clients! ahh not sure i follow u now, your dir structure your mentioned:www.example.com/storeA www.example1.com/storeA thats two different urls? why not just set up two seperate stores with their own databases ? not sure i follow what your trying to achieve.
