AJRYAN Posted August 10, 2005 Posted August 10, 2005 About a month and a half ago I began noticing that a number of my customers were having issues with duplicate, triplicate, and even quadruple entries of the same item in their carts - listed separately as opposed to a single entry with a quantity greater than 1. These orders were intended for a single product with a qty of 1 only so I cannot figure out why this is happening. I have not been able to duplicate this, and it has not been a problem until recently. I have noticed that it appears that some customers are getting frustrated and leaving. Has anyone else experienced a similar problem and what was done to correct it? I have searched all over but cannot find anything in the forums. This is driving me crazy so I would really appreciate any help you can give me. BTW, none of the files related to the checkout process or cart processes have been messed with recently. Thanks.
AJRYAN Posted August 12, 2005 Author Posted August 12, 2005 bump, has anyone resolved this? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I did some research in my logs and spoke to a customer who experienced this problem. What appears to be causing this are server errors. My hosting service is apparently getting oversold and performance is suffering, and I seem to be getting intermittent "page not found" errors including the shopping cart page. So it seems there is nothing wrong with the cart itself, but rather my hosting service, which would explain the intermittent problems with the orders.
