Guest
Hi, I have PayPal IPN v1.1 installed on osC 2.2MS2. I am able to successfully interact with PayPal and callback to my store. However i have a problem with the tax calculation that PayPal receives from osC. The basket correctly shows: Goods @ ?45.96 Shipping @ ?35.00 VAT (tax) @ ?14.17 (17.5%) Total @ ?95.13 However PayPal displays: Amount @ ?45.96 Shipping @ ?41.13 Total @ ?87.09 i.e. it has not applied the VAT/tax to the goods value of ?45.96 but only to the shipping. I know this is a PayPal (module) issue since when I use WorldPay the correct value is charged. Any help appreciated :(
judebert
Hi, I have PayPal IPN v1.1 installed on osC 2.2MS2. <snip> i.e. it has not applied the VAT/tax to the goods value of ?45.96 but only to the shipping. I know this is a PayPal (module) issue since when I use WorldPay the correct value is charged. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I found that allowing PayPal to apply the tax was extremely annoying. Especially since my osCommerce already does it. I turned off the tax option in PayPal (from their Merchant Tools section, I believe), then set up the IPN module to use an Aggregate total and Move Tax To Total. PayPal can at least add the cart total and shipping correctly. If this were easy, everybody would do it.
