Geordiedan Posted August 9, 2005 Posted August 9, 2005 Hi folks, I've installed the "Multi Pickup" contrib as detailed here: http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=38506 But it seems that a lot of people are having issues with it - also it looks like there aren't many people using it for some reason? The seller I'm building a store for wishs to give people the option of free delivery to an 'authorised dealer' if there's one near to them - theoretically to give the dealer extra business by getting people through the door. In an ideal world this option would be driven by, say, the post code field when entering billing details - if an authorised dealer is in the area then the option would be given, but if none are there then the customer wouldn't see it. I appreciate that this is too specialised for a 'generic' contrib, but is there anyone out there interested in taking the multi-pickup concept a little further, or even just ironing out the problems in this version? It appears to work OK for me on the whole, but the sale confirmation email fails to call up the details of the dealer to be delivered to - meaning both customer and admin staff need to click the 'advanced invoice' button to see full confirmation :( OK - enough ramblings from me already ;) If anyone could offer me some advice on this I'd be grateful. Thanks, Dan :) Quote
Geordiedan Posted August 10, 2005 Author Posted August 10, 2005 Just to add - if this can't be done with an existing contrib, does anyone know a development team who could take it on and not cost me the earth? :) Cheers, Dan Quote
Geordiedan Posted August 11, 2005 Author Posted August 11, 2005 Just to give a little more detail on the advice of a forum member  The contrib is located here: http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contri...ch,multi+pickup Basically, once installed it allows you to add details of any stores that you allow free collection of goods from in the Admin panel. These then appear as shipping options on the checkout screen. A little background: The guy who I'm building the store for is paranoid that by selling direct over the 'net, it'll upset his dealers. The idea is to get some of the main outlets to sign up to this scheme, where the customer is given the chance to get free shipping by collecting from the local outlet. This puts the customer through their door, and gives the chance of incidental sales at the same time. He's planning on giving the dealers a small percentage of sales delivered to them as an added incentive - hence the need to run off a report of sales against store location. It's a little crazy if you ask me, but the customer is always right... Thanks again for your help, Dan Quote
spooker8 Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 Just wondering if anyone knows how to integrate table rate in the shipping cost ?
