benjwalsh Posted August 10, 2005 Author Posted August 10, 2005 why is a test product i put in for 60 come up then with a price of ?0.56 any ideas ?

wheeloftime Posted August 10, 2005 Posted August 10, 2005 Table Rate Enable Table Method True Shipping Table 60.00:0.28,100:0.42,150:0.60,200:0.75,250:0.88 Table Method weight Handling Fee 0 Tax Class --none-- Shipping Zone --none-- Sort Order 0 Country of Origin United Kingdom Postal Code NONE Enter the Maximum Package Weight you will ship 50 Package Tare weight. 0 Larger packages - percentage increase. 0 theres the values i have what am i doing wrong <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think I have an idea why: you have defined a maximum package weight of 50 That 50 is interpreted as grams and because of this a product of 60 gram will be divided in one package of 50 and one of 10. As both go into your first shipping category costing 0.28 pence this will give 2 times 28 pence = 56 pence. Hence you should change your maximum package weight setting to 500 or bigger depending on what your heaviest package will weight and is allowed to ship as one package.

wheeloftime Posted August 10, 2005 Posted August 10, 2005 if i knew who you were id kiss you cheers. one more little question i want to add another shipping option just like the current one in os but with different rates any ideas ? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'll pass on the kiss but I am glad I could help you (thanks to you giving enough information) :D As for another shipping option: you could use the zones module instead of the table rate module because the zones module gives you the ability to define different country zones with different shipping costs. For the rest the zones module uses about the same method as the table rate module. If I remember correct however there is also a contrib which gives you one or more table rate modules next to the standard osC one which would also be sufficient if you only need one more table rate definition. I can't remember the name but a quick search inside the shipping contribs area should give you the answer easily enough.
benjwalsh Posted August 10, 2005 Author Posted August 10, 2005 one other little problem works fine if some one is buying 1 thing if there buying 2 it either calculates it wrong or gives them free postage...... i think it might be because one product = 300 another = 1000 so thats 1300 and thats not on my scales at the top how do i rectify this
